Controversial social media personality VeryDarkMan has taken aim at music heavyweights Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid over their recent luxury car purchases, calling them out for what he described as insensitivity to the country’s economic struggles.

His reaction came shortly after news broke that Burna Boy acquired a brand-new McLaren Sienna reportedly worth N3.5 billion, making him the first African to own the model. Not long after, Davido also made headlines for purchasing a 2026 Mercedes Maybach SL 680 said to be worth N1.2 billion, while Wizkid had earlier splurged on a N1.7 billion car.

In a viral Instagram video, VeryDarkMan questioned why the artists continued to flaunt their wealth when many Nigerians, including their own fans, are facing hard times. He particularly called out Davido—whom he described as a friend—asking what tangible impact the singer has made in his home state of Osun, especially for young people.

“You guys are not the government, but you’ve benefited so much from this country and from your fans,” he said. “So what have they gained from you? The only time I saw you in Osun was during your uncle’s campaign. Since then, what have you done to uplift the people?” he added.
