“Very Disappointing” – Gundogan Reacts to Man City’s Loss to Juventus
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has expressed disappointment in both his performance and that of his teammates following their 2-0 loss to Juventus in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Despite having several chances to score, City was undone by goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie at the Allianz Stadium, leaving the Premier League champions with a lot to reflect on.
Gundogan, visibly frustrated, shared his thoughts on the match, labeling the defeat as “very disappointing.”
Speaking to TNT Sports, he emphasized that while they had opportunities, their overall play wasn’t up to par.
“We had chances to score, a few in fact, but right now it feels like any attack we concede turns into a real threat,” he said.
The midfielder continued, highlighting a lack of focus during critical moments.
“I think we’re a bit careless in duels, and instead of keeping things simple, we tend to complicate situations.
They break our rhythm with the smallest things, and at the crucial moments, we’re always making the wrong decisions.”
