Victor Osimhen Likely to Join Al Hilal as Chelsea and Manchester United Stay Quiet
Galatasaray insider Serdar Ali Çelikler has hinted that Victor Osimhen may be heading to Saudi Arabia, with Al Hilal leading the race for his signature. Çelikler, speaking on Neo Spor’s YouTube channel, said unless the Saudi giants pull out, Osimhen is likely to sign with them. This comes amid rumours linking the Nigerian striker with Premier League sides like Chelsea and Manchester United.
Although United have reportedly held talks about bringing him in this summer, there hasn’t been much movement from Chelsea, despite their strong interest last year. Interestingly, Osimhen has been wrongly credited with playing for Galatasaray in some reports, but he actually plays for Napoli. He had an outstanding season, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists across competitions.
Çelikler believes Galatasaray can’t match the financial power of Al Hilal, who have reportedly offered the striker a staggering €30 million per year — that’s around N54 billion. He noted that unless Osimhen agrees to a far lower deal, like €20 million, it’s hard to see him staying in Europe.
“He has about a week or ten days to make a final decision,” Çelikler said. Meanwhile, Nigerian sports journalist Buchi Laba shared that Osimhen has already turned down one offer from the Saudi side, suggesting the forward is still weighing his options.
