Victoria Talks About Her Past with Shaun on Big Brother Naija
Victoria, a finalist from Big Brother Naija Season 9, recently opened up about her relationship with her fellow housemate, Shaun Okojie.
Their journey began as a pair known as “Shatoria” before Biggie decided to separate the two.
This dynamic shift raised eyebrows, especially after Shaun developed a romantic connection with another housemate, Wanni, just weeks into the competition.
This sparked rumors about a pre-existing relationship between Shaun and Victoria before they entered the house.
During an interactive session on social media platform X, Shaun addressed these rumors, emphasizing that he and Victoria were never romantically involved before the show, which led to speculation about heartbreak and misunderstandings.
In a candid interview with popular host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Victoria shared insights into her history with Shaun.
She revealed that their relationship had encountered turbulence due to a series of trivial disputes they engaged in during the lockdown period prior to the show.
These “silly fights” took a toll on their connection and made things complicated when they reunited in the house.
Victoria elaborated on the emotional challenges she faced, especially as she watched Shaun form a close bond with Wanni.
She recounted how Wanni approached her to inquire about her relationship with Shaun before they started dating, indicating that there was some concern about the dynamics between the three of them.
“I will be very honest,” Victoria stated. “Shaun and I had our share of misunderstandings during the lockdown. We were often at odds over trivial issues.
When we entered the house, he found someone to confide in, while I had to navigate a whirlwind of emotions alone.”
She expressed that her high standards made it difficult for her to form connections in the house.
“When I got there, I really didn’t see anyone that caught my interest,” she admitted.
“Wanni even asked me if Shaun and I had something going on, and I assured her there was nothing between us.”
Through this interview, Victoria not only provided clarity about her relationship with Shaun but also gave fans a glimpse into the emotional complexities that reality TV can bring, particularly when past relationships and new connections collide in such an intense environment.

Niniola Explains Why She Chose to Stay Independent as an Artist
Nigerian singer Niniola has shared her reasons for remaining an independent artist, despite numerous offers from record labels.
Niniola revealed that her decision was rooted in her awareness of the music business and her commitment to preserving her creative freedom.
In a recent interview with TVC, Niniola reflected on her decade-long journey as an independent artist.
She acknowledged that while signing with a record label has its advantages, such as financial backing and wider promotion, it also comes with significant drawbacks.
According to her, labels often dictate artistic direction, which could compromise her unique style and identity.
Recalling the early days of her career, Niniola disclosed that she was approached by a record label shortly after releasing her debut single, Ibadi.
However, she turned down the offer, fearing that signing a deal might force her to change her sound.
At that time, Afro-house—a genre blending African rhythms with house music—was not widely explored in Nigeria, and she was determined to stay true to her style.
“Being an independent artist allows me to control my creativity,” Niniola explained.
“I’ve seen the business side of music, which many artists overlook.
They focus solely on making music, but there’s more to it. I wanted the freedom to make decisions about my art without interference.”
She admitted that remaining independent comes with challenges, including managing her career, finances, and promotion without the support of a major label.
Beyond her career choices, Niniola shared a personal side of herself.
She described herself as an introvert who often prefers solitude, but her passion for music brings out a more outgoing version of her.
“Music makes me an extrovert. It’s where I feel most alive and expressive,” she said.
