Hailey Bieber Sells Rhode Makeup Brand to E.l.f Beauty for $1 Billion

Hailey Bieber, the well-known American model and media personality, is selling her makeup brand Rhode to E.l.f Beauty in a deal valued at $1 billion. She shared the news with her followers on Instagram Wednesday evening, announcing that E.l.f has acquired Rhode in a deal combining cash and stock worth $800 million, with an additional $200 million to be paid based on the brand’s future sales.
The acquisition is expected to finalize later in 2025. Despite the sale, Hailey will stay on as CEO and head of innovation at Rhode, while also taking on a role as a strategic advisor for E.l.f Beauty. Hailey launched Rhode in 2022, quickly growing it into a notable name in the beauty industry.

“The night that we did our traditional wedding, my husband confided in me, he said in Heaven and Earth, all the money he had hoke and abroad was eleven thousand naira.
“That night, I cried because I felt like where were we going to start? I said it’s not about surviving that I am worried about the fact that it is the sickness that has eaten deep into his capital. And the sickness is still there.”
