Super Eagles player, Bright Osayi-Samuel, expresses his confidence in his team and believes they will come out victorious in their match against Algeria.

It can be noted that the match is scheduled for today, 10th of January.

During a recent interview, he shared “We take each game as they come. We know what’s at stake, we know Nigerians want us to win this game, and we will do all we can do to win.”

“I think the aim is to make sure we don’t get there first, to try and win before penalties, even before extra time.”

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand calls out CAF over the AFCON towel incident that occurred during the games.

It can be revealed that some ball boys were spotted taking the towels of the Senegal goalkeeper during the final games. This same thing also happened in Nigeria’s match against Morocco.

Ferdinand then stated during an interview, “The worst one (during the AFCON) was the ball boys trying to get the towels to stop the goalkeeper from drying his hands. That was insane.”

“Someone has to get a hold of the Moroccan FA at some point. We need explanations.”

Former captain of the Super Eagles team, Sunday Oliseh, shared how he thinks Victor Osimhen is the reason Nigeria didn’t get to play in the finals and win the AFCON.

He stated that the viral feud between Lookman and Osimhen is what broke the team’s unity and spirit.

“We are confusing talent with permission. Victor Osimhen is world class, but talent doesn’t give you the right to break team chemistry.

Look at the evidence. Since that public outburst against Ademola Lookman, one of our brightest players, Lookman became a shadow of himself and we lost our edge.”
