White House Says Elon Musk is a Senior Adviser with No Decision-Making Power
The White House clarified on Monday that Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration is as a senior adviser to the president, not as an official employee of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
A filing from Joshua Fisher, the director of the White House’s Office of Administration, confirmed that Musk does not have decision-making power and can only offer advice or relay the president’s directives.
Fisher’s filing, part of a case against Musk filed by the State of New Mexico, emphasized that Musk is not employed by the US DOGE Service, nor does he hold the title of DOGE Service Administrator.
The filing also stressed that, like other senior White House advisors, Musk lacks the formal authority to make government decisions on his own.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
