Will Smith Confirms Hancock 2 Is Coming and Zendaya Might Join
During a recent Twitch livestream with popular streamer xQc, actor Will Smith shared exciting news about a potential sequel to his 2008 superhero comedy, Hancock.
Smith revealed that there’s a “really cool” concept for Hancock 2 and mentioned that actress Zendaya is being considered for a role in the project.
The original Hancock film featured Smith as John Hancock, an unconventional and troubled superhero striving for redemption. The movie also starred Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman, and despite receiving mixed reviews, it achieved significant box office success, grossing over $629 million worldwide.
Discussions about a sequel have been ongoing since the release of the first film. In 2009, director Peter Berg indicated that a follow-up was likely, and Charlize Theron expressed interest in reprising her role. However, scheduling conflicts and other delays have hindered progress over the years.
Zendaya, known for her roles in HBO’s Euphoria and the recent Spider-Man films, is currently filming the third season of Euphoria, where she portrays the character Rue.
