Wizkid, Ayra Starr and Davido Shine as Global Music Icons of 2024

Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Ayra Starr have earned spots among the world’s top artists of 2024, as revealed by Chart Data on New Year’s Eve.

The rankings, based on global influence and impact, placed Wizkid at an impressive 11th position and Ayra Starr at 18th.

Adding to Africa’s pride, South African singer Tyla secured the 12th spot.

The top 10 list featured a mix of global icons, with South Korean superstar Jimin leading the pack.

He was joined by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, and Beyoncé, who continue to dominate pop and R&B.

Kendrick Lamar, known for his powerful storytelling and lyricism, also made the list.

Other prominent names included British pop innovator Charli XCX, the genre-defying Billie Eilish, the legendary Lady Gaga, and rap queen Nicki Minaj.
