Released on November 22, 2024, Morayo is a deeply personal project for Wizkid.

The album is a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.

Wizkid had often spoken about the strong bond he shared with his mother, describing her as his pillar of strength and a source of inspiration.

The album’s title, Morayo, shows this connection, as it means I have found joy in Yoruba, symbolizing a journey of healing and remembrance.
