The former Real Madrid midfielder has been widely mentioned as a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti, who is rumored to be leaving the Spanish giants at the end of the season.
Reports suggest that although Ancelotti is happy at the Bernabéu, he is eager to explore new opportunities.
Speaking to reporters, Alonso laughed off the speculation, saying, “Questions about Real Madrid already? Time may pass, but the bond remains strong. My focus, however, is fully on Bayer Leverkusen. That’s where my mind is.”
