Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has urged her fellow celebrities to be cautious when participating in podcast interviews.
Addressing a growing trend of celebrities sharing personal and controversial details on such platforms, Jegede warned of the potential risks.
She highlighted that while these interviews can be engaging and revealing, they often lead to intense public scrutiny and backlash.
Supporting her stance, popular media personality Do2dtun advised public figures to think carefully before disclosing personal information during interviews.
He noted that the internet never forgets, and comments made in these settings can easily be taken out of context, resulting in unintended consequences for the individuals involved.
Jegede’s cautionary advice follows several high-profile cases where celebrities faced criticism and negative attention after their podcast appearances.
This serves as a timely reminder for those in the public eye to be mindful of what they share in media interviews.
