Chinese actress Zhao Lusi is preparing to depart from Galaxy Cool Entertainment Culture Media Co. Ltd. after completing her current project, Almost Lover.
Zhao Lusi, affectionately known as Rosy Zhao, has faced significant health challenges in recent months. In December 2024, she was hospitalized due to a sudden illness, leading to the suspension of all her professional activities.
Reports indicated that she suffered from depression and aphasia, conditions that required long-term rehabilitation. The actress was seen in a frail state, necessitating the use of a wheelchair, which deeply concerned her fans and the entertainment community.
During this period, allegations surfaced regarding Zhao Lusi’s mistreatment by her agency. Accusations included both mental and physical abuse, with claims that the agency exploited her by overworking her and neglecting her well-being.
Fans expressed outrage over her intense work schedule in 2024, believing it contributed to her deteriorating health.
In a heartfelt letter shared on Weibo, Zhao Lusi addressed these concerns, acknowledging her struggles with illness and past abuses.
She revealed that she had endured mistreatment since 2019, including physical abuse during her early career. Despite these challenges, she expressed gratitude for the support from her family, friends, and fans, which aided her recovery.
After a period of rest and rehabilitation, Zhao Lusi made a public appearance in January 2025, attending a charity event where she spoke about her health progress.
