Funke Akindele, the renowned Nigerian actress and producer, has expressed her deep honor and excitement after being appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS and UNAIDS Nigeria.

In a heartfelt post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, she shared her commitment to using her influential voice and platform to contribute to the global fight against HIV/AIDS.

Akindele, known for her advocacy in various social causes, reiterated her dedication to helping raise awareness and mobilize efforts toward ending AIDS as a public health threat by the year 2030.

UNAIDS, the United Nations program focused on tackling the global HIV/AIDS epidemic, has been at the forefront of these efforts, working tirelessly to reduce the number of new infections, ensure access to life-saving treatment, and ultimately end AIDS as a public health threat.

In her post, Akindele wrote, “I am deeply honoured to have been appointed as @UNAIDS @UnaidsNigeria Goodwill Ambassador.
