Flying Eagles striker Precious Benjamin has said the team is fully prepared for their crucial Group B showdown against Morocco in the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. The high-stakes match is set to take place on Sunday at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.

Nigeria began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Tunisia’s Young Carthage Eagles, while Morocco edged out Kenya in a thrilling 3-2 win. With both teams eyeing a quarter-final spot, a win for either side will seal their place in the next round.

“We know we’re up against a tough side. Morocco is technical and won their first game too, so it won’t be easy,” Benjamin said in a chat with the team’s media officer. “Our main goal remains qualifying for the World Cup, and we’re confident we can make it happen.” Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm Nigerian time.
