Nigerian media personality Do2dtun recently discussed the trend of resolving personal issues on social media. In a chat with Legit.ng at the TrendUpp Awards, he explained why people turn to online platforms for justice, referencing his own situation amid a custody battle with his estranged wife.

Do2dtun acknowledged that he, too, has resorted to airing private matters online, despite previously avoiding such actions. He highlighted that the inefficiency of the justice system often leaves people with no choice but to seek public sympathy and support. He pointed out that the slow legal processes and lack of proper justice push individuals to make their grievances public.

He explained that the public’s quick reactions to online posts often occur without fully understanding the context, emphasizing that many people, including himself, are driven to social media out of frustration with the justice system’s failures. This phenomenon isn’t limited to Nigeria, as people in countries with more efficient legal systems also turn to social media for justice.
