Nigeria’s Super Eagles have moved down one spot to 39th in the latest FIFA World Rankings for July, maintaining their points total from June but reflecting a challenging period following disappointing World Cup Qualifier results.

Despite this decline, they hold onto the 5th position in Africa, amidst a flurry of international football activity that saw over 125 matches played across continents in June and July.

Meanwhile, Argentina remains atop the rankings after successfully defending their Copa América title, with France and Spain climbing in the standings following impressive showings in UEFA EURO 2024 and the European Championships, respectively. England and Brazil also feature prominently, while Belgium slipped three places to sixth.
