Simi Reveals She Fell for Adekunle Gold’s Photo Editing Skills

Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, widely known as Simi, has recently shared the reason behind her deep affection for her husband, Adekunle Gold. During a recent social media post, Simi revealed that her love for Gold was significantly influenced by his skills in graphic design and photo editing.
This revelation came to light after Adekunle Gold showcased his editing expertise by removing a water bottle from a photo of Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya, as requested by Onakoya.
Simi expressed her admiration by reposting the edited image on X (formerly Twitter), commenting, “This was why I fell for you. I don’t know who sent you to start singing.”
Before launching his music career, Adekunle Gold was renowned for his graphic design talents, which included designing the logo for Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation.
He joined the label and transitioned into music, eventually tying the knot with Simi on January 9, 2019, in Lagos. The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
