Destiny Etiko has responded to rumors about an alleged affair with Matthew Ekeinde, the husband of veteran actress Omotola Jalade. The speculation, which has spread widely, suggested that Etiko was romantically involved with Ekeinde and that he had even purchased a luxury car for her.

During an Instagram Live session, Etiko addressed the allegations, dismissing them as false and intended to damage her reputation. She stated, “If you want to block the blessings of God in someone else’s life to elevate yourself, it won’t work. People have always spoken ill of me, but I remain focused. Whether or not men give money, I don’t know because I work for 99.9% of what I have.

Etiko went on to explain that she frequently buys herself a car on her birthdays because she enjoys upgrading her vehicle every year. She further clarified that the rumors stemmed from a photo taken over four years ago when she met Ekeinde on a flight where he was the pilot. Out of respect for him as a senior colleague’s husband, she asked for a selfie, which was the extent of their interaction.
