Davido Shines in Ethiopia’s New Year Show
Nigerian megastar Davido continues to lead Afrobeats’ global rise with his award-winning music and sold-out shows. On September 11, 2024, he performed in Ethiopia, where the country celebrated the new year based on the Orthodox Tewahedo calendar, which runs seven years behind the Gregorian calendar. During the show, Davido performed hits from his record-breaking album *Timeless*.
This performance followed a high-profile event in Saint Tropez, attended by guests including billionaire Femi Otedola. Davido, who also met with a Saudi Prince during his time in France, recently released a new single, “Joy,” featuring Angelique Kidjo, ahead of the 67th Grammys. He plans to release his fifth project in 2024.
