Activist VeryDarkMan Arrested After Calling Out GTBank Over Excessive Charges

Nigerian Activist VeryDarkMan has been arrested by the security operatives after he called out Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) for a high debit charge.

Earlier on the activist called out the bank on social media for deducting unauthorized charges from his mother’s account.

It was later revealed by VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, that the activist has been arrested for his statement online.

“VDM was arrested by the police at GTB today. He spoke to the officers before being taken into custody. This is absolutely unacceptable. Demanding accountability is not a crime.”

Fans and users of the bank react and claim injustice, many viewed the arrest as unfair just because he complained about a fact.
