Afrobeats singer, Asake, expressed grief and sadness over the stampede at his concert in Kenya that claimed the life of a 20-year-old lady.

The singer took to social media to express his condolences to the family “I am devastated by the tragic incident that took place at the festival on December 20th in Nairobi.”

“My heart goes out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Karen Lojore, and I pledge to support and do my best to understand what happened. Those responsible should be held accountable.”

In a recent interview with Korty EO, the singer shared that it was against his father to pursue music. His mother then recalled how he came to turn them down on studying abroad and stated he wanted to stay and learn in Nigeria.

Afrobeats singer, Seun Kuti makes headlines as he calls out to the federal government to make an arrest of pastors who perform fake miracles.

The singer stated in a video and shared that pastors who perform miracles should be checked, like the miracle itself should be tested and if it’s false they should be arrested.

He shared, “Law should be made to ensure that no one is allowed to perform miracles, and anyone caught claiming to perform a miracle should be sent to jail.” He then added that the miracle can be performed in the hospital (LUTH).

This has drawn mixed reactions from the public as some shared that his statement is not right.
