Atalanta Tell Ademola Lookman to Fix Attitude Before He Returns To The Club
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has made it clear that Ademola Lookman will be welcomed back into the team only when he shows the right mindset.
The Nigerian forward created waves over the summer after pushing for a move to Inter Milan, even skipping training for two weeks in a bid to force the transfer. Since then, his reintegration into the squad has stalled, with concerns raised about his attitude during training sessions.
Head coach Ivan Juric has already stated he won’t plead with the 27-year-old to play, stressing that the responsibility lies with Lookman himself. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Percassi said the club is ready to move forward but insisted that focus and commitment are non-negotiable.
“We can’t change what happened in the past, so our focus is on the present and the future. Everyone knows how talented Ademola is, but to wear the Atalanta shirt you must be 100 percent committed. Once he’s ready to give that, we’ll welcome him back with open arms,” Percassi said.
