Former Vice-President and PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has responded to recent statements by PDP Board of Trustees member, Bode George, who claimed Nigeria would have faced instability had Atiku won the 2023 presidential election.

George argued that Nigeria wasn’t ready for another northern presidency after Buhari’s tenure.

In a rebuttal, Atiku, through his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, dismissed George’s claims as “imprudent,” insisting that his presidency would have ensured national stability and prosperity, free from bigotry and nepotism.

Concern Grows Over Rising Insecurity Following Kwara Abduction Case

It was reported that bandits were seen in Kwara State and abducted six residents from Rukpete Village.

The incident was reported to have occurred on June 8 at about 11 p.m.

Sources revealed that seven people were initially taken, but an elderly man was later released, leaving six victims in captivity.
