Bellingham Admits Real Madrid Were Lucky After Arsenal’s 3-0 Game
Jude Bellingham has admitted that Real Madrid were fortunate not to have suffered an even heavier defeat against Arsenal after their 3-0 loss in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.
Arsenal dominated the match, with Declan Rice delivering a man-of-the-match performance, scoring two incredible free kicks in the second half. Mikel Merino added a third to seal a sensational win for the Gunners at the Emirates.
Bellingham, reflecting on the game, acknowledged that Madrid was completely outplayed by Mikel Arteta’s side. He said, “We’re lucky to get away with only three. We were nowhere near it. Arsenal were really good. Even though two of their goals were free kicks, they could have scored even more.”
Despite the heavy defeat, Bellingham is holding on to hope for the second leg, adding, “There’s still a second leg, and that’s what we’re focused on.”

Real Madrid player Vinícius Júnior has spoken about his contract and how things have been since discussions began.
He said “It’s gone very well, meeting the new coach and the new players and training very hard. Mourinho wants me to be as I’ve always been: happy, cheerful, and that I play my football.”
“We have to prepare physically so that during the season we have fewer injuries and we can count on everybody. Monday was a double session, Tuesday is one session. So let’s go. Today we did a bit of work in the gym and a short session to load our legs some more.”
