Bobrisky Freed After Naira Abuse Conviction

Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison. On April 5, the EFCC secured Bobrisky’s conviction for mutilating naira notes. Charged with four counts of naira abuse by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), he pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro at the Federal High Court in Lagos. Bobrisky was freed on Monday, August 5, 2024.

A video showed him celebrating with friends, enjoying Mohbad’s and Chike’s song “Egwu.” His friends were heard saying, “We are out of prison. Congratulations, Bobrisky.”
