Carragher Says Chelsea Will Miss Out as He Predicts Premier League Top Five
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has shared his picks for the Premier League top five finish this season, and he doesn’t see Chelsea making the cut.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Carragher predicted that Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, and Manchester City will take the top five spots, leaving out Chelsea and Aston Villa.
He explained that Chelsea’s tough remaining fixtures could hurt their chances, while Newcastle’s game in hand gives them the edge.
“Newcastle will make it, and I think Man City will just squeeze in alongside Liverpool and Arsenal,” he said. “With the fixtures ahead, City should win all four, even with their struggles this season. I think Aston Villa will fall just short.”

It can be noted that Arsenal will face Sporting CP in the quarter-finals, while FC Barcelona will take on Atlético Madrid.
“I would not say so just because of the way they defend.
“I think a more compact team like Arsenal, and with the offensive talent that they have, I think will cause Barca a lot of problems because I still think there are frailties in their defensive line.”
He shared that Arsenal has a chance of going far in the competition.

The former captain added that he does not think Arsenal are the strongest team and could struggle against top sides like PSG and Bayern Munich.
