Chelle Believes Super Eagles Are Ready to Fight for the 2025 AFCON Title

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has expressed confidence that his team is ready to make a strong run at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian team, which has won the prestigious tournament three times, is set to face tough opponents in Group C, with Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania as their group mates.
Chelle, who took over as head coach just earlier this month, acknowledged the difficulty of the task ahead, knowing that each of the 24 teams in the competition brings formidable talent and experienced coaches.
However, he remains optimistic, stating that his team is highly motivated and determined to go for the title.
“I understand the challenges ahead, but I believe we have a squad hungry for revenge, and I’m also out for revenge. This will make the journey exciting,” Chelle said.

Galatasaray Stops Pursuing Osimhen After Napoli Ask for Too Much Money

Turkish transfer expert Süleyman Rodop has confirmed that Galatasaray will no longer pursue Victor Osimhen following Napoli’s tough demands. Napoli reportedly asked for €40 million upfront and another €35 million by 2026, along with a sell-on clause, after Galatasaray submitted their fourth offer for the Nigerian striker.
Speaking to Turkish outlet habersarikirmizi, Rodop stated that the Turkish club won’t go beyond their final bid. He explained that although Osimhen’s current deal runs out next year, Napoli still hold the option to extend it by another season. Rodop praised Osimhen for his professionalism, saying he handled the situation admirably.
However, Galatasaray have decided to walk away, believing Napoli are dragging the deal unnecessarily. “The latest offer stands, and it won’t change,” Rodop said. “Napoli’s president is just playing games now.” Osimhen is said to be eager to return to Galatasaray permanently, after impressing on loan last season.

Jorge Jesus Says Ronaldo Is the Reason He Joined Al-Nassr

New Al-Nassr manager Jorge Jesus has made it clear that Cristiano Ronaldo played a major role in his decision to join the club. During his first remarks after taking the job, Jesus admitted that without Ronaldo, he likely wouldn’t have accepted the offer.
The Portuguese coach, who takes over from Stefano Pioli following a disappointing season, said he’s eager to help both the club and its captain win silverware. “Cristiano hasn’t won much here yet,” Jesus said. “I want to help change that. We speak the same language, so working together will be smooth.”

Napoli and Galatasaray Struggle to Agree on Osimhen Transfer Deal

Napoli seem to be raising the bar as talks continue over Victor Osimhen’s potential move this summer. The Nigerian striker is eager to make a permanent switch to Galatasaray after a loan spell in Istanbul, but the Turkish club has already had multiple bids turned down.
On Monday, another offer was reportedly rejected, with Napoli now demanding €40 million upfront, another €35 million by 2026, and a sell-on clause. Galatasaray isn’t backing down just yet, but they’re holding firm on their terms, they want to complete the deal for €35 million by 2027 and are not open to including a sell-on clause.
