There’s been a breakthrough in the ongoing transfer talks between Napoli and Galatasaray over Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Sports presenter Volkan Kılıç shared on Wednesday night that both clubs have finally reached an agreement, and the official announcement is expected before the weekend.

“A middle ground has been found in the Osimhen transfer. An agreement has been reached,” Kılıç posted on X. “I expect the Osimhen transfer to be announced by the weekend at the latest. Congratulations in advance.”

This marks a huge shift from just a week ago when Kılıç had reported that the deal was still uncertain due to Napoli’s financial demands. Back then, he explained that Galatasaray’s top official, Abdullah Kavukcu, was working hard behind the scenes to seal the deal. Napoli reportedly wanted most of the payment upfront along with extra financial guarantees.

At one point, Kılıç even claimed that Galatasaray were prepared to switch their focus to Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak if talks with Napoli collapsed. But with the latest agreement now in place, the Turkish club has no reason to explore that option anymore.
