Bobrisky Claims: “My Godfather Funded N5M for My Pardon”
Bobrisky, has stirred controversy once again by claiming that he paid N5 million as an initial payment to an unnamed Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to help secure a pardon from the Federal Government for charges of money laundering.
These charges had been filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The revelation came to light on Monday, October 7, 2024, after a leaked audio clip surfaced online. The clip was shared by popular social media influencer, Martins Otse, who is widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
According to VDM, the conversation was recorded on May 16, 2024, where Bobrisky can be heard discussing his legal battle and efforts to obtain clemency.
In the audio, Bobrisky revealed that the SAN initially demanded N10 million to facilitate the pardon request.
However, Bobrisky explained that his account had been frozen by the EFCC, leaving him unable to meet the full amount.
He said, “I’m supposed to finish my sentence by July, but if we manage to secure the amnesty, I could be out by the first week of next month.”
Bobrisky further explained that despite his financial limitations, he was able to raise N5 million, thanks to a contribution from his godfather.
“My godfather gave me N5 million, and we sent it to the SAN two weeks ago. He has already filed the request for a pardon,” Bobrisky purportedly said in the leaked call.
The scandal has sparked heated reactions, with many questioning the integrity of the legal process and whether such an arrangement could influence a government decision on criminal charges.
Adding another twist to the controversy, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, who was rumored to be connected to Bobrisky, publicly denied having any involvement in the case.
Falana clarified that he had never met Bobrisky, stating that the cross-dresser had only spoken with his son, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, but that he personally had no business dealings with him.
This unfolding drama has further fueled public debate about the role of influential figures in securing legal favors, especially in high-profile cases.
While Bobrisky’s claim has not been independently verified, the situation has kept many Nigerians closely following updates, eager to see how the case will develop.

UNILAG Student Sets Record for Longest Catwalk
A student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Ololade Ayelabola, has set a remarkable new milestone in the Guinness World Records by covering the longest distance ever walked by a model.
Her inspiring feat saw her complete a 130.62-kilometer catwalk, surpassing her original goal of 120 kilometers.
Ayelabola’s journey began on October 1st at UNILAG’s indoor sports center, where she set out to achieve the record-breaking walk. Initially aiming for 120 kilometers, she pushed herself further, adding an additional 10 kilometers to her total distance.
Over the course of her challenge, she walked an impressive 2,058 laps within the sports center.
In a post on Instagram, Ayelabola expressed the deeper significance behind her attempt, stating that it was about more than just setting a personal record.
She highlighted her mission to break boundaries for models, particularly those held back by societal expectations and rigid industry standards.
“This walk is not just for me. It’s for every model who has been boxed in by stereotypes,” she shared.
“I also want to showcase the creativity and richness of Nigeria’s fashion industry to the global stage.”
Although Ayelabola’s extraordinary achievement has already drawn widespread attention, it is still awaiting official verification from the Guinness World Records.
If confirmed, she will surpass the previous record held by Roberta Brown and Lorraine McCourt, who walked 114.4 kilometers in Dublin, Ireland, on September 21, 1983.
Her remarkable determination and desire to spotlight Nigerian creativity underscore the broader impact of her accomplishment, demonstrating that it’s possible to redefine the limitations imposed by the fashion world and present a new narrative to the global audience.
