Nigerian music star Davido has opened up about how his relationship with his wife, Chioma, affects both his personal life and career.

Speaking during an interview on the Breakfast Club, Davido shared that things often go wrong in his business whenever he has issues with Chioma. He credited much of his success to her presence in his life.

“My wife has always had this kind of spiritual hold on me,” he said. “Whenever we argue, something bad just happens to my business. She even warns me sometimes, saying, ‘You’re fighting me now and your album is about to drop?’ Then I start begging. She really carries grace.”

He also spoke about how Chioma gets along with his children from other women, saying they all love her deeply. “My daughter, especially, is really close to her. I used to be scared to bring them around, but things have changed. There’s been growth.”

Davido revealed that he and Chioma have been together for over a decade before getting married in June 2024. “We met back in school when I was 18 and she was 17. We’ve come a long way.”
