Davido has boldly claimed that when it comes to Afrobeats, no one does it better than him.

In a chat on the Ebro show on Apple Music, the Nigerian superstar made it clear that while American artists like Gunna, Young Thug, and Chris Brown dominate in their own genres, he remains unmatched in Afrobeats. According to him, that’s exactly why he sticks to his roots and makes sure Afrobeats stays at the core of any collaboration he’s part of.

“One thing American artists enjoy about working with me is that we either meet halfway or we go full Afrobeats,” Davido said. “I can’t do trap better than Gunna or sing R&B like Chris Brown, but nobody does Afrobeats like me.”

He also revealed that he and Chris Brown have recorded over 20 songs together and could easily drop two full albums from their unreleased tracks.
