Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has praised top opposition figures for uniting to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections. Adeyanju commended leaders from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and others for leaving the party to align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the move as long overdue.

Notable names like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Senate President David Mark, former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido, and others have dumped the PDP to adopt the ADC as their new platform to confront President Bola Tinubu’s government in the next polls. They’ve also called on other PDP members to join forces for what they describe as a collective push for change.

Reacting on Facebook, Adeyanju expressed excitement, saying it’s good to see the opposition finally working together. “I’m proud they’ve come together at last. Special appreciation to Atiku, Obi, and the others for setting aside personal interests to make this possible,” he wrote.

He further encouraged NNPP’s Rabiu Kwankwaso to join the alliance, saying this unity was exactly what the opposition lacked in the last election. “Whenever you wake up is your morning. Good morning to the opposition,” he added.

She revealed this as she marked a new age, reflecting on what the future holds. She emphasized that she holds no grudge against anyone.

“I do not have anything against anyone. The question is how I stopped feeling the betrayal? I knew the grace factor was evident, and the Holy Spirit continually comforted me. I chose never to avenge myself, understanding that it is God’s prerogative. Mine is to thank Him for fighting for us. If God decides to fight your battles and you have won, is there anything else that God missed and you wanted to fix? Nothing. So, let it go.”
