“Don’t Jump on My Stage Like That” – Burna Boy Explains Fan Kicking Incident
Nigerian music Giant Burna Boy has explained why he kicked a fan during his performance at the 2025 Lagos Countdown concert.
A video of the incident, which went viral on social media, shows Burna boy kicking a fan who climbed up the stage abruptly during his performance.
Responding to the backlash, Burna Boy addressed the situation through an Instagram story, revealing that he has PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and reiterating his long-standing rule about personal space during performances.
He emphasized that startling him while on stage triggers his PTSD, which stems from past experiences.
“It was a free show. I was supposed to perform for 10 minutes but gave almost an hour,” he shared.
“I’ve always made it clear, don’t get on my stage unexpectedly when I’m performing.
I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night, but don’t jump on my stage like that! I love you all. Happy New Year.”
