Terry G Speaks Out as Burna Boy Faces Criticism Over Sleeping Fans Incident
Nigerian singer Terry G defends colleague Burna Boy amid the cancellation of his shows. The singer defended Burna Boy after the viral video of him sending away a couple for sleeping at his concert.
Terry G laid on the defence that if it was a church and someone was sleeping the usher will wake them up, however it’s at a concert and Burna Boy can do the same?
“Una too like to dey hold people accountable just because say dey don be public figure. If it happened in a church and someone was found sleeping, would the pastors not ask the ushers to wake them up?”
“Because he’s a musician, you are going to his show to sleep, so the camera can capture that moment and spoil his show.”
The BET Awards ceremony returned once again and was held on June 28, 2026.
This year’s ceremony was hosted by Druski and celebrated some of the biggest names in music, film, and entertainment.

- Teyana “Spike-Tey” Taylor – Video Director of the Year
Nigerian singer Speed Darlington speaks with regret as he reflects on his life. He shared that he is disappointed in himself for still being single at his age and not having any children.
The singer said “Up till now, I’m not married and I don’t have any children. All I have to show is an American passport. I want more than American papers—I want a family and respect.”
Nigerian singer Tems reacts to comments linking her with Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
During a recent interview, the singer spoke about the African music movement.
“It’s amazing, you know, coming from Nigeria. I’m just really happy where African music is going right now. Everybody’s popping off and everybody’s shining. So I’m just happy to be a part of that.”
She was then asked if she knew the goalkeeper, to which she replied “Do I know him personally? “I think I do. No, no, no, no, no. I don’t.”
The host then teased her, saying “We should shoot our shot.”
