Fans Upset as K-Pop Demon Hunters Cuts Kiss Scene Between Rumi and Jinu
Netflix’s animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters has found itself at the center of fan debates after news broke that a key kiss scene between Rumi and Jinu was left out of the final cut.
According to the director Maggie Kang, the decision wasn’t about censoring romance but about keeping the story’s pace tight. Still, many fans feel the moment was essential to the emotional arc of the characters, with some taking to social media to voice disappointment. The kiss, they believe, would have added more depth to Rumi and Jinu’s connection and made their journey even more powerful.
Despite the backlash, there’s some good news. Kang recently revealed that a sequel is already in active development. She explained that the next film will explore the backstories of the main characters more deeply, giving fans a chance to connect with them on a personal level. This has created hope among the audience that the bond between Rumi and Jinu might be revisited in the continuation.
