Former Italian sporting director Enrico Fedele has advised Atalanta to cash in on Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman before the summer transfer window closes. Fedele believes Lookman is not far off in quality compared to Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, adding that the Super Eagles forward would be a strong replacement for the Georgian at Napoli.

Lookman has been linked with potential moves to both Napoli and Arsenal, with speculation about his future growing. Kvaratskhelia, who previously played for Napoli, sealed a big-money transfer to PSG in January 2025, leaving the Italian side in need of attacking reinforcements.

Speaking during an interview with Radio Marte, Fedele said Lookman is ready for the next step and urged Atalanta to take advantage of the situation. “Would Lookman raise the level? Absolutely,” Fedele said. “His contract might not have many years left, but his value is still high. Atalanta should sell him.

“He’s a player close to Kvara’s quality, and certain conditions could work in Napoli’s favour,” he added. Lookman joined Atalanta in 2022 and has been impressive for the Serie A side since his arrival.
