Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere, has stressed the need for his team to step up their game despite a solid 3-1 win over South Africa.

The Flamingos secured the victory at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday, boosting their chances of reaching the final qualifying round.

However, Olowookere expects a tougher challenge in the second leg. “It was a good result, but we need to improve in some areas because I know South Africa will come back stronger,” he said.

Nigeria will face South Africa again next Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
