Halima Abubakar Apologizes to Apostle Suleman for Defamation

Published

on

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has apologized to Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries for defaming him. She acknowledged spreading false information about him and causing him distress through social media.

The conflict between Abubakar and Suleman began in 2022 when the actress fell ill after a confrontation with the clergyman. During her illness, her family publicly urged Suleman to stay away from her. While many speculated that she suffered from an autoimmune disease, Abubakar refuted these claims by sharing her medical report.

In a letter addressed to Suleman, Abubakar expressed her remorse for damaging his reputation and requested forgiveness. She wrote, “I acknowledge that I made false allegations against you and regret the pain I caused you, your wife, and your family.” She further stated that her apology cannot erase the harm done but hopes for forgiveness, recognizing that her actions were misguided at the time. Abubakar concluded by reiterating her sorrow for the distress she caused to Suleman and his ministry.
