Heritage Foundation Pushes for Release of Prince Harry’s U.S. Immigration Records

Published

The Heritage Foundation has intensified efforts to release Prince Harry’s U.S. immigration records, asserting that his disclosures could have affected his entry eligibility.

After DHS denied their Freedom of Information request, a judge ruled in September to keep the files private—a decision now under appeal by Heritage.

Heritage spokesperson Nile Gardiner argued that revealing the records aligns with public interest, adding, “The rule of law should apply equally to everyone.” He also suggested that the Biden administration’s protection of Harry may end after the inauguration, with growing calls in Congress for transparency.

Tensions have persisted between Harry and former President Trump, who has openly criticized the prince and indicated he wouldn’t offer him protection if re-elected. Gardiner predicts a decision on the matter within a year.

A devastating fire erupted at the Iweka Electronics Market in Onitsha on Tuesday evening. It led to the destruction of numerous shops and goods worth millions of naira. The blaze began around 8:30 PM, reducing many traders’ livelihoods to ashes.

Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, expressed profound sorrow over the incident. In a heartfelt message on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he conveyed his sympathies to the affected traders, acknowledging the immense loss of goods and years of hard work.

Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, recently took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle to celebrate Namibia’s groundbreaking achievement:

“Namibia just made history. Africa’s FIRST country with BOTH a female President AND female Vice President. Maybe there’s hope for Nigeria one day after all…”

This milestone marks a significant step towards gender equality in African politics.

On March 21, 2025, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was inaugurated as Namibia’s first female president, coinciding with the nation’s 35th independence anniversary. At 72, Nandi-Ndaitwah brings decades of experience from her tenure in the South West Africa People’s Organization (SWAPO) and various governmental roles, including foreign minister. During her inauguration, she emphasized commitments to good governance, regional cooperation, and addressing climate change.

In a move underscoring her dedication to gender inclusivity, President Nandi-Ndaitwah appointed Lucia Witbooi as Vice President. This appointment makes Namibia the only African nation where both the president and vice president are women.
