Nigerian Gospel Singer, Tope Alabi addresses reason why she did not wear jewelries at the early days of her career.

The gospel singer shared that the reason was not based on a spiritual belief rather it was a personal choice.

Alabi states that she just couldn’t afford good looking jewelry. Sharing that it was financial decision and not a spiritual one.

God has never told me not to wear earrings, chains, or wigs.”

”I’m a theater practitioner to the core, so I understand what fits each song. If a song does not require me to wear earrings, I won’t use them in the video. In the past, people assumed I avoided earrings for religious reasons, but the truth is, I simply could not afford them at the time.”

Gospel Singer New Jerusalem Dies at 53, Leaves Family and Fans in Mourning

Nigerian Gospel Artist Israel Terhemba Ikyereve, popularly known by his stage name New Jerusalem, has reportedly passed away.

The late gospel singer passed away at the age of 53, friends and family as well as the government in Benue state mourns the loss of the singer.

The date of burial was also announced by his family, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Sati Agirigi, Mbamo, Shitile, Katsina-Ala LGA of Benue State.

Nigerian Social Activist, VeryDarkMan reveals that he has reopened late singer, Mohbad’s case as he plans to find new evidence.
