Lee Carsley Provides Update on Bukayo Saka’s Injury
England’s interim manager, Lee Carsley, has provided an update on Bukayo Saka’s injury. Saka was injured during England’s 2-1 UEFA Nations League loss to Greece on Thursday.
The Arsenal forward limped off shortly after England went 1-0 down at Wembley Stadium. He was treated by the medical team and later substituted by Chelsea’s Noni Madueke. Speaking on the injury, Carsley said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, “He’s being assessed. You could see he felt something in his leg just before the first goal.”
Harry Kane has won the European Golden Boot for the second time in his football career.
The award followed his impressive performance in the Bundesliga.
He scored 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga games for Vincent Kompany’s side during the 2025/26 season, collecting 72 points to finish as Europe’s top scorer across all domestic leagues.
It is noted that he finished just ahead of Erling Haaland.

He then added that he believes the club should have a new manager with fresh energy to direct the team.
