Leverkusen Boss Says Arsenal Are Best Team in Europe
Bayer Leverkusen manager, Kasper Hjulmand, reveals the team to be the best in Europe right now.
Ahead of the team match this Wednesday evening, the manager was speaking in an interview where he later stated that Arsenal is the best team right now.
“Arsenal are perhaps the best team in Europe at the moment. They finished first in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League and won all their games, scored the most goals and conceded the fewest.”
He then speaks on what he expected from the team match against Arsenal “Arsenal are the clear favourites. But we’ve already shown this season against many big teams like Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig that we can beat them. And as we all know, anything is possible in football.”
Southampton mocks Arsenal after their win against the club.
It can be noted that their match on Saturday ended in 2-1. After the win, the club on their social account dropped a comment “Enjoy your quadruple, pal.” hitting at Arsenal.
“No, and I don’t want to put any excuses about the players that are missing or the players that are here with issues. It’s not the case – let’s look at ourselves in the mirror, accept the situation, and go to Portugal with clarity and look forward to it.” Arsenal then shared regarding the game.
It has been reported that the Turkish football authority has suspended the Nigerian player Wilfred Ndidi against the upcoming game.
The player will be on a one match ban if he picks up a yellow card in the match this Sunday.
It can be noted that under the Turkish authority rules, if a player gets 4 yellow cards in a season they get a one game suspension.
Manchester City are in decision mode as they are looking for who they could appoint as the next manager.
It was reported that the club might most likely appoint Enzo Maresca as manager replacing Pep Guardiola.
This info was revealed by Fabrizio Romano “Manchester City will let Pep Guardiola decide what he wants to do with his future. As reported since January, Enzo Maresca is the favorite candidate if/when Pep decides to leave.
