Netanyahu Meets Trump in Florida After Addressing Congress and Meeting Biden and Harris
Netanyahu traveled to Florida to meet with Trump after addressing Congress and meeting President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington, D.C. At Mar-a-Lago, Trump criticized Harris, claiming her stance on Middle East issues could escalate Israel’s conflict with Hamas into a broader regional war.
Trump warned, “If we don’t win, you’re going to end up with major wars in the Middle East. And maybe a third World War.”
Harris, after her meeting with Netanyahu, emphasized the need for Israel to defend itself while also expressing concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Netanyahu, although irked by Harris’ criticisms, stated that Israel still hopes for a ceasefire deal, stressing the importance of U.S.-Israel unity.
This Mar-a-Lago meeting marks Netanyahu’s first in-person interaction with Trump since 2020, when their relationship soured after Netanyahu congratulated Biden on his election victory.
