NFF Denies Banning Victor Osimhen from National Team

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed claims that Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been banned from the team due to his social media comments against former coach Finidi George.

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, expressed surprise at the reports, clarifying that no such process has been initiated or concluded. He urged the media to focus on resolving issues positively and avoid escalating matters unnecessarily.

“Our priority is resolving all matters around the Super Eagles and preparing for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and the remaining 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. This is not the time to spread falsehood,” said Sanusi.
