Nigerian Designer Veekee James Announces Birth of Baby Girl

Popular Nigerian designer, Veekee James and her husband welcome their first child, a baby girl.

The couple revealed this with cute pictures and videos of the family.

The baby was born on the 2nd of May, Eliana Atere. And they shared the meaning of her name “My God has answered, 1 Samuel 1:27 – ‘For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.’”

Friends and fans commented and congratulated the couple. Congratulations Veekee.

Nigerian gospel singer Ebuka Songs recalled when Alex Ekubo reached out to him to worship together and they had a session with the actor’s close friend, IK Ogbonna.

He also recalled when many questioned their interaction and some even stated that they are unbelievers.

But the singer described it as a powerful moment and shared how happy he was to encounter God.

“Some of you criticized me then. ‘Why are you worshipping with someone like that?’ ‘Why associate with an unbeliever?’ But today, I am grateful I ignored the noise,” he wrote.

Nigerian comedian AY speaks on late actor Alex Ekubo and shares how his last moments were.

He revealed how he was with the actor in the hospital in his last moments and shared that he smiled as he breathed his last breath.

“I was there. I saw you still smiling even in death. I saw the tears from friends and family. And honestly, a part of me is still in shock. Rest well my brother. You will be remembered beyond the lights, the cameras, and the fame.”

It can be recalled that the actor passed away due to cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2024 and underwent surgery, in which he was stable for the past 2 years. But was taken to hospital after the liver failed, which he passed away from.

Nigerian music executive, Don Jazzy spoke on one of the hardest decisions he made. He shared how letting go of Di’ja was very hard.

He said, “One of the most difficult decisions of my career was when I had to let Di’ja go. That was difficult, and I don’t think I will let any artist go again by myself. Tega and Rima handle that now if they need somebody to leave the label.”

“Everybody on my record label is like my child. So, that was hard for both of us. And she [Di’ja] knew that it was hard for me. She even questioned the guys in the room why they had to involve me in that. All of us started crying. It was hard.”
