NNPCL Slashes Petrol Price to ₦899 Per Litre, Offers Relief to Nigerians

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of petrol from ₦1,020 to ₦899 per litre, bringing relief to Nigerians.

According to the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), the new price varies regionally, with parts of the South-South selling at ₦970 per litre.

This price cut follows a similar move by Dangote Refinery, which recently reduced its petrol price to ₦899.50 per litre.

PETROAN President, Dr. Billy Gillis Hary, praised the reduction, stating it will:

Lower transportation costs.

Boost economic activities by reducing production expenses.

Improve Nigerians’ standard of living. The reduction comes as a welcome development, especially during the holiday season.
