Nollywood’s Kemity Speaks Out Against Price Hikes for Celebs: ‘We Must Do Better’
Nollywood Actress Kemity calls out traders who increase prices when dealing with Celebrities. The actress laments on social media about how traders behave once they know you are a celebrity.
During a recent interview, Kemity expresses her dissatisfaction with traders behavior and describes it as “unfair” and “corruption”. She spoke on how the traders can do better and be fair to everyone.
“We can do better as Nigerians. Traders must stop inflating prices because they are selling to celebrities. That’s part of corruption.”
“If you’re selling something for one hundred Naira and you sell it to a celebrity for one thousand Naira, that’s corruption. We can only help ourselves by doing better.”
Popular Nigerian Singer Wizkid makes headline for canceling his upcoming US shows. The shows include Atlanta, GA (State Farm Arena, June 5, 2025), New York, NY (Madison Square Garden, June 7, 2025), and Houston, TX (Toyota Center, June 19, 2025).
The reason behind the cancellation has yet to be communicated however fans react with concerns and disappointment at the news.
Fans comment with questions to why the shows are being cancelled, some fans link the cancellation to the singer’s grieving of his late mother.

He goes to his official social media account to update the public on the new happening around VeryDarkMan. He shared that the activist has finally gotten a new phone after his old one was seized.
“VDM has got a new phone. He couldn’t log into his accounts since morning. That just resolved now. I’m sure you will all hear from him tomorrow.”
Popular Tanzanian Singer, Juma Jux who is also the husband of Nigerian actress, Priscilla Ojo hypes up final wedding.
It can be recalled that the couple held a Yoruba wedding in April which was hyped and anticipated by many Nigerians. Fans and celebrities congratulated the married couple.
The singer then takes to social media to reveal that there will be one more wedding with Priscilla. “This is the final round, the big one. I call it the final one because my wife is tired already.”
He states that 5 or 6 weddings are not enough to marry his wife, Priscilla.
