Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about his friendships in the music industry and beyond. During a chat on the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope, he shared details about the people he considers close, including Rema, Burna Boy, and Seyi Tinubu.

According to Odumodublvck, Rema is one of his realest friends in the industry. He also addressed his friendship with Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s president, explaining that their bond has nothing to do with politics. He made it clear that Seyi supports him purely as a fan of his music, not for any political reason.

“Seyi Tinubu is my friend, regardless of his father being the president or people criticizing him,” he said. “When he invited me over for dinner, it wasn’t because he wanted me to support his dad.

It was because he genuinely likes my music. I’m a street boy—Seyi has nothing to gain from me. He’s just my guy, no matter what society says.”

The rapper also spoke about his deep admiration for Burna Boy and how he always felt a spiritual connection with him. Before they even met in real life, Odumodublvck had a dream where they were both eating pounded yam together.

When they finally met, Burna Boy revealed that it was the first time he had eaten pounded yam in two years, making the moment even more surreal for Odumodublvck.

“People think I just talk for the sake of it,” he added. “They don’t understand—this thing is real. I say what I mean. Even when I talk about Jesus, it’s because I’m a true believer. Anything I declare on earth, I believe is bound in heaven too, as long as it’s in line with God’s will.”
