Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina is in doubt for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Arsenal after picking up an injury on international duty.

The 28-year-old suffered what appears to be a hamstring problem during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday. He managed just ten minutes on the pitch before being replaced by Bright Osayi-Samuel of Birmingham City.

Aina, who has been a key figure for Forest so far this season, featuring in all three of their opening league matches against Brentford, Crystal Palace, and West Ham, will now need to prove his fitness ahead of the clash at the Emirates. Forest fans will be hoping he recovers in time, as his versatility and defensive stability have been vital for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side in the early part of the campaign.
